Coach Pete Pena
The Pirate Softball Team earned the first fastpitch conference championship for the college by posting a conference record of 15-5 and an overall record of 44-8 in 2003.

2009 Softball PosterAt PJC, we are proud of our outstanding tradition. The Lady Pirates won the NJCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in 1988, have accumulated 12 Conference Championships and included 7 NJCAA All-Americans in their ranks. Our commitment to academics is also well documented. We have had 32 NJCAA Academic All-American players and last season we were ranked in the top 10 in softball as well as academics. The 2009 team returns 6 starters including 3rd Baseman Geraldine Puertas, our 2008 Beijing Olympian and All State honoree, and All Conference players including Pitcher Julianne Beaugh, Short Stop Daniela DeOliveira, Catcher Sofia Pimentel and 2nd Baseman Datonya Dilworth. Freshmen Pitcher Hannah Wilson, Outfielder Brittany Wynne and 1st Baseman Kaci Pribanic also look to be major contributors.
