Welcome to PJC Lyceum

Lyceum is the college's cultural series available to students and public consisting of music performances, theater events, dance programs, visual arts exhibitions, and distinguished speakers. Pensacola Junior College students enrolled in college credit courses may obtain tickets to Lyceum events for free. Pensacola Junior College faculty and staff may obtain tickets for a fee of $6.00. The public is invited for a nominal fee. Lyceum is also a credit humanities elective in which students participate in seminars before and after events.

The role of Lyceum is to bring to the campus and community a wide variety of significant cultural offerings in all fields. Events in the past have included such offerings as: Jean-Michele Cousteau, Alvin Ailey Dance Company, The Polaroid Collection of Photography, Richard Leaky-anthropologist, Ralph Nader-consumer advocate, The Baltimore Consort, Lazer Vaudeville, The Pensacola National Crafts Exhibition, Christopher Parkington-Classical Guitar, John Mooney and Bluesiana, Michael York-actor.

Lyceum events are presented on campus in the Ashmore Auditorium and in cooperation with the Saenger Theater in downtown Pensacola.
